A couple updates
(23 Nov 04)
Jeremy has joined up with Call it Karma. They've
got some audio samples up on the website including a couple
Dream in Color favorites.
Don's been doing handfuls of gigs out in L.A. including some
recording with electronica maestro Paul Grogan for some material
that may be heard soon at your local megaplex. He's played piano
at a restaurant (which is now going out of business, so maybe
that restaurant piano thing isn't such a good idea) and is doing
a jazz gig at a gala reception at the L.A. Auto show in January.
And no, he hasn't forgotten about mixing and finishing off the
DiC tracks.
So long, farewell
(10 May 04)
An assortment of circumstances have lead to Dream in Color being
no more. While we've been out of commission for over half a year
already, it's been a while saying publicly that it's over.
So what's happened to everyone? A quick run-down on those that
we've kept in touch with:
-
Erin Adams (vocals), George Krueger (guitar,
vocals) and Paul Miller (trumpet, percussion, vocals)
have decided to continue as Call it Karma. Be sure
to head over to their web site and join the mailing list.
-
Don Hosek (bass, guitar, flute, vocals) is in the
midst of a move to California. He's taking a break from public
performance as he adjusts to married life and his new job as
a teacher, but will
resurface in the Los Angeles area sometime in 2005. Will Dream
in Color resurface with him? Or will it be a completely
different beast? Who knows, but you can keep track at Don's
music diary.
-
Andrea Chambers (vocals) has moved to Santa Fe, New
Mexico. She's settled for singing in the church choir for
now, but has the itch to get back on stage once in a while.
-
Jeremy Williams (percussion) has settled for a life as a
videographer and
husband. We imagine that he might still pop up at Rhythm once in a while
-
Mario Bautista (percussion) is still around the Chicago
music scene.
-
Linda Lubell (vocals, guitar) is making the rounds in
the folk scene. She's got a new CD and web
site.
-
It's not that Dana (vocals, guitar) doesn't use
her last name, we just lost the piece of paper on which we
wrote it, so we have no idea what's happened to her.
-
Roey Ben-Yoseph (drums, vocals) was doing lead
vocals for a Genesis tribute band last we checked in with him.
-
Enrica Cesario (vocals, percussion) Isn't doing a
whole lot of singing these days.
-
Plu Harmon (drums) is working full-time as a
drummer, living the dream.
-
Jonathan Eig (flugelhorn, voice) seems to have
moved from Chicago magazine to the Wall Street Journal
(unless that's a different Jonathan Eig... it seems to be a
popular name among writers).
We'll post more information about past members here if any
updates come in.
